Ronin 4D the worlds most underated camera
As a cinematographer, I am always on the lookout for new technology that can enhance my work and help me create stunning shots. Recently, I had the opportunity to shoot with the DJI Ronin 4D for a new travel series on Channel 4. The Ronin 4D's 4th axis allowed me to capture breathtaking shots of the unique places we visited, and its many features made it an essential tool in my filmmaking arsenal.

One of the most significant advantages of using the Ronin 4D was the ability to use prime lenses of my choice with auto focus. This was a game-changer for me, as it allowed me to achieve high-quality footage with ease. The production values shot through the roof, and my clients were thrilled with the end product.

Shooting in factories and other industrial environments can be challenging, but the Ronin 4D made it possible for me to operate safely while capturing amazing stabilized sequences. The Ronin 4D is small and lightweight, making it easy to move around and set up quickly. Its dual native ISO allowed me to shoot in low light, and the footage looked incredible in post-production.
Tracking presenters in real-time was also made easy thanks to the Ronin 4D's 4th axis and auto-focus. The image scrubbed up really well in post, with 14 stops of dynamic range. Paired with an easy rig, the Ronin 4D could be used all day long, without causing fatigue or slowing down the production process.

For filming wildlife I think this camera will be a complete game changer, being able to follow large animals like chimpanzees for instance without the need for large Tilta flo and Ronin set ups will allows the user to move through the landscape easily without disturbing the animals all with a 4th axis of stabilisation.
In conclusion, shooting with the DJI Ronin 4D was an incredible experience. Its many features, including the 4th axis, auto-focus, and dual native ISO, made it an essential tool for capturing stunning shots. The Ronin 4D's lightweight and compact form factor made it easy to use and set up, and its ease of use allowed me to capture high-quality footage with minimal effort. The production values of our project shot through the roof, and I am excited to continue using the Ronin 4D for future projects.
